Can San Antonio make Golden State Suffer Some Spurs

By Charles J. Richey

With the NBA Playoffs winding down, I know a lot of you already have the NBA Finals penciled in; Cleveland Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs, correct?  Well I’m here to tell you don’t be surprised if this doesn’t happen!  Why is it that the Spurs continue to be referred, to as “A Boring Dynasty,” when in actuality, this Gregg Popovich lead team continues to be molded into arguably as one of the Greatest Dynasties with five NBA Championships to show for it?  They’re not only doing it without the retired, Tim Duncan, but without the services of Tony Parker, who is out for the rest of the Post Season with a quad injury, Kawhi Leonard who missed Game Six with a left ankle injury  and beat the MVP-lead James Harden Rockets in six games in the Western Semifinals of the Playoffs!  Looking at the Regular Season matchups from this Season, the Spurs are 2-1 against these Warriors.

According to, the Warriors enter this Series with 1/3 odds and for the Spurs enter at 15/1 odds.  The way I look at it, the Spurs have a puncher’s chance to upset this Warriors squad!  You don’t believe the Spurs have any kind of tricks along with a psychological approach from, “Pop,” think again!  “They’re coached by one of the best to ever do it-we know that we have a tremendous challenge ahead of us,” Warriors assistant coach, James Collins told Tim Kawakami of the The TK Show. How much pressure has got to be riding on Kevin Durant if he doesn’t seal the deal with not only this Series, but winning it all?  My oh my!  All I can say, is be in store for a good Heavyweight Matchup NBA Fans!  I say focus on Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge of the Spurs who are the 1-2 punch in averaging 21.3 from the Western Conference Semi-finals vs Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant who averaged 24.5 from their Semi-finals matchup vs the Jazz.
