Earlier this week on the Dan Patrick Show, Antonio Brown stopped by and spoke to Dan about how he felt following the concussion he suffered at the hands of Vontaze Burfict in the Pittsburgh Steelers victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round of the NFL AFC Playoffs. Apparently upset over both Burfict and Adam, “Pacman,” Jones he felt their clowning around cost them the game which put his team into the next Round in where the Steelers would go onto to lose to Denver. “They texted me,” Brown told the Fan. “No reply, I don’t even know why people give him the platform. Ridiculous.” Dan Patrick would later ask Antonio Brown, what he would of said to Brufict, “He’s an idiot.”
This has definitely been a heated rivalry between the Steelers and Bengals as of late. Let’s go back to the end of the 2014 Season which saw Le’Veon Bell gets knocked out from his knee being hyperextended against the Bengals in where the Steelers would go onto to clinch the AFC North and lose to the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the AFC Wild Card Round. Next was when, Le’Veon Bell ironically gets knocked out by the Bengals in a Week eight loss, 16-10 for the rest of the season. He was tackled by Vontaze Burfict and would suffer a torn MCL. A lot of players from the Steelers didn’t take this too kindly as they would get even by defeating them in Cincinnati in a Week 14 matchup, 33-20.
Brown would also appear on The Cook and Poni Show on 93.7 The FAn in Pittsburgh (h/t CBS Pittsburgh) on Thursday about that playoff game. In his mind, he feels like defenders are trying to ,”to kill” him as opposed finding a way to top him. Pacman has tried to text him and Brown hasn’t responded. Who can blame him?
