Connor McGregor Celebrates his Newly Earned Featherweight Championship

Well let it be said, that on this day, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the MGM Garden in Las Vegas, Conor McGregor ends the 10 year unbeaten streak of, “Scarface,” Jose Aldo to become the New Featherweight Champion.  After all the months of Build up, trash talk, media coverage, and the images of McGregor snatching the belt away from Aldo, he indeed did just that as McGregor sends him sailing to the mat with a devastating left hook.   “Precision beats power, and timing beats speed,” McGregor tells Joe Rogan immediately after the match as reported by Matt Boone of MMA News.  Conor McGregor’s next plans is to move up and challenge for the Lightweight Championship which is currently held by Rafael dos Anjos.  Jose Aldo feels that he should deserve an immediate rematch and insists that the trash talk didn’t affect him in this fight.  Should this rematch not go through, more than likely, McGregor’s next opponent in the Featherweight Division will be #1 contender Frankie Edgar who is currently on a 4 fight winning streak and has already defeated 3 top 10 fighters in his weight class.
